"A buyer from Hawaii bought Tempe City Center, which includes an 11-story office tower, three one-story office buildings and two one-story retail buildings on 10.75 acres.
Tempe CC Hui LLC purchased the property from Tempe City Center LP. The two refused to disclose the price, but Business Real Estate Weekly reported the sale price was $20.4 million.
Chris Toci and Chad Littell of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller. Brandon Holdings Inc., the investment’s sponsor, and IX Advisors LLC, an investment adviser, introduced the acquisition group to the property, Jenny Disbrow, a Cushman & Wakefield spokeswoman said in a press release.
“This is the buyer's first investment in Arizona, in one of the Valley's most transformational submarkets,” Toci said in a statement. “There are substantial plans to renovate the project to cater to today's modern workforce.”
The center is more than 90 percent leased and includes a variety of tenants.
Representatives from IX Advisors said the purchase is “the perfect complement” to the buyer’s investments in other cities."
